Anderson is quite the writer. It's hard to use words like "enjoyed" and "entertained" for this book--its subject matter is darkish and the main character is struggling through the entire story. But it's hard not to fly through it. Malinda certainly seems real, and I went on to pick up another from this author immediately. 3.5 stars, only because it was hard to say I "really" liked a book that made me so constantly frustrated with almost every character. Though I know that's exactly how I was supposed to feel.
