Water for Elephants
OK, so--it's really well-written. Great plot, interesting characters, just overall fascinating. BUT, warning for like-minded readers: there's a lot of hard language, and a couple of pretty graphic sex scenes. I can't say they were gratuitous--the info was important to the story, but I'm not sure I needed THAT much detail. Anyway, heads up if you're wanting to avoid the R-rated content. That said, I did move right on to another Gruen novel. I'll just be on the lookout for anything I need to skim over.
