Interesting, readable, and enjoyable. I honestly haven't given hardly a thought to the "Little House" books since I was about seven years old. I only read two of them, but they did stick with me--clearly, since I recognized every one of the scenes McClure mentions from the two I read. Wilder Life is a funny, lighthearted travelogue of sorts, following McClure's attempt to find the imaginary "Laura World" she remembers creating for herself when she read the books in her youth. She travels to most of the historical Ingalls sites and experiences all kinds of prairie/quasi-historical sorts of things. Really, though, whether you were ever into Little House or not, it's just a fun read.
